I just had to put my first adult chicken down ............. UGH....

You take a broom stick and place the chicken on the ground while holding it's legs, laying the broom stick across the neck, then very quickly stand on the broom stick, putting each foot on one side with chicken in the middle, then yank up with the chickens feet. I should have had someone throw a towel over her, but it was my fist time..... It was over quick, and not a lot of blood, and only because I yanked harder than I should with a little chicken.... It hurt me worse than her I'm sure and that image is still in my head....... She was such a sweet chicken. I think next time I'll put a towel or something over it so if a head does come off it wouldn't be ingrained in my head. this is not my week....... Had to put down a horse and now a chicken......................
