I just had to tell you about my great day!

[My Little Sister's Farm]

An aquiantance wants to buy 10 doz+ eggs a week from us because they sell out at the Farmer's Market too early every weekend. I am so psyched, with my mom being a teacher, most of our customers are teachers at her school. We've been selling hens because we didn't want to have so many eggs all summer with no where to sell them and this opens up. I just can't wait, this will cover about 2/3rd if not all of our eggs per week. God has opened another door for me, I'm so happy!

Wish people appreciated fresh eggs around here...I have to sell to tourists to make any money! I live in the middle of Commercial Chicken House Land

and they just give their eggs away to folks. Unhealthy eggs, but free....so the people make a choice.

I guess there is a lot of cull eggs? From what I understand, the eggs they produce have to be perfect in shape, size and uniformity for commercial use. Anything other than that and they can't sell them, so they give them away!
