I just have to share this.

lol, thanks! I have another pic, still not that good though, only have my cell phone on me at the office.

The toes are kind of lightish, but my other br pullet is the same. the actual legs are almost black. It is identical to my other little pullet EXCEPT it does have a bit of silverish here and there...so lets cross our fingers!

Either way, this is an amazing and surprising b day!

EDIT

BTW: my new little "assistant" is helping me by pooping on the shredded documents. She is making sure that NO ONE will try to get any info from our trash

Thanks you! yeah, there are only like 5 of us that work here, so everyone is really friendly, because with such a tight knit work environment, we HAVE to get along

I guess me tlaking chickens non-stop and becoming "a weird chicken lady" has got its advantages.

Could go either way on the sex of that one, but still, that's such a cool thing for them to do for your birthday! I bet if the leg fronts are very black down to close to the toes, you do have a pullet with an extra big head spot. You never know with Tractor Supply. Here, they let folks pick up the chicks, a practice I find scary, considering injuries and passing disease. If it's male, could be someone put it in the wrong bin after looking at it.

Well, I am looking at it now, and I am begining to doubt it is a true blue BR anyways...Anyone ever seen pure white wing feathers on a BR? i was looking closely at its wing feathers, and there is no barring at all, and instead of the stubby black feathers i have on my BR, there are white feathers, with solid black ones too. Now I know enough to know this IS NOT a cochin, but the way it is feathering out looks just like when my mottled cochins were new babies. Any standard breed feather out like this that is clean legged?

lol, you read my mind i swear...i just sent you a pm with something I found online. I know I am just gonna have to be patient to find out... *sighs* lol

lol, thank ya

I am just playing the old waiting game I guess. Going to give *her* a week or so and see what happens.

No matter what, I am still very glad t have her, and grateful for such awesome co workers. I will just have to keep her possible male-ness a secret, because they really went out of their way to make sure she is perfect lol
