Just doing the final check of the night, its pretty cold outside but all the chickies are nice and warm!

And for anybody that watches, pays attention, and is wondering . . .
This is the thermometer that reads that remote sensor, I got it at home depot for like $15 or something . . .
I use it for my expensive frogs, so I trust it for some chickens.

Read:
Bottom- temp at meter(here, now)
2nd up- remote low for day(76- light off during day, Cali)
3rd up- remote high for day
top- remote sensor temp now

Watching this video and seeing my 2liter waterer, reminds me . . .

I was readin Storey's, and it says that the amount of water chicks need is figured as follows-
Take the chicks age in weeks, divide by 2, and thats how many gallons 100 chicks would need in a day.

I have 25(+3 turkeys) 4-week-old(tomoro)chicks and they go thru 1/2 gallon a day, thats right on the money!
I guess 2liter is equal-ish to 1/2g? looks about the same . . .

There was about a 1/4 of the bottle left, and in the morning when I change it, not only will it be the 24hr mark but the rest will be gone as well.
I need to make another one.
