The mail lady has already came today and no little chickies today. I gotta wait 1 more day, they better get here tomorrow and I hope they are all ok.

The suspence is killing me...................I want my chicks.

I got mine from Ideal also
Like waiting for a child to be born. The Post office should call you n the am to tell you they are in, mine did. And you'll hear them peeping in the back ground. My Ideal ladies will be 12 wks old next week and they have grown so fast. I paid them extra in insurance so that they wouldnt put any roos in the mix.

My PO didn't call me. I just woke up at 6 am and drove up there and they were there. I couldn't wait.

I just ordered 15 today from ideal. told them on order form I didn't want roo's. I ordered 5 BO's, 5 BA's,and 5 BR's.there not due till april 1.just started building my coop.

Well the chickies came in yesterday.

After opening the box I found 2 dead ones (my RIR's) and a few other chicks not doing so well. I have been nursing them but 2 others died later in the evening (1 BO & 1 EE) I am still nursing 2 others today. I hope they pull through. They are so cute.

I will get some pics tomorrow (my day off work) and get them posted so everyone can see the cute little fluff balls.

I cant tell which 2 are supposed to be my little Roos, don't they usually have a spot dyed on the top of their heads so you can tell the Roo's?

aw sorry to hear that, call the hatchery and tell them some died and others are sick.

Yea, I called them Friday when they didn't show up after the mail came and they told me to call them Monday and let them know the results.

I don't know if I want to get replacements or take the credit and use it on my next order. Decisions, decisions.

I have ordered twice from ideal the first order was 15 barred rock pullets they sent 16. The second order was for 18 RIR pullets , 2 rir cockerells and 4 barred rock cockerells and 15 br pullets. everyone is thriving of the first order they are now 12 weeks old the rir and the others are now 5 weeks old we had 1 rir with a broke neck and 1 br just about dead it died later I think that ideal is great to deal with. and they are beautiful chicks
