I just ordered bantam cochins from Ideal, couldn't help myself...

I ordered 10 blue bantam cochins, and I can hardly wait til October 29.

So my quesiton is... does anyone have pictures of bantam cochins from Ideal? I know they're hatchery quality, and that's fine by me, but how nice are they?

I'm getting three little blue cochins this week for Ideal! I have one little Silver Laced hen from Ideal. I ordered 5 and got one hen.

Shadow came from Ideal via the feedstore. She's a self-blue (lavender), my only bantam in a flock of 50 or so.

I didn't get mine from Ideal but instead from a show breeder. I adore my babies! We have raised a few from the flock and have spoiled them so much!

Ideal emailed this morning, and my chicks are hatching tomorrow, not next Wednesday! WOOT WOOT WOOT!!!! I can't wait, I'm chicken crazy, this is ridiculous.

Anyone got more pictures to help me pass my next couple days waiting?



Oh... and what packing peanuts did Ideal send with your order? I'm as excited about them as I am about my cochins... almost!

I have an order hatching/coming fromIdeal this week also. Soo excited.( Its actually a re-order, last weeks order did not go well. I only ordered11 and there was 22 in the box. The 3 that survived lousy postal service are extras. I am assuming they are males 2 are going to be barred not sure if they are marans, dominiqeor just brs yet. the 3rd is a mystery at this point) Like you I am just as excited about the extras as I am my order.

I ordered 5 welsummers pullets, 5 salmon favorelles and 1 salmon favorelle roo. Looking at these pictures make me wish I had ordered somecochins, they just look soo cute and snugly!!!
