Supposed to ship out on the 29th. :| But they told us that the only thing they had available for the 29th was an assortmant of bantams.. So that's what we got. :|
I have 26 that were a rainbow layer variety from McMurray. It was my second rainbow layer order, and I have thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Wonderful birds, and SO much fun watching them and figuring out who everyone is.
Now I'm almost wishing I had gotten a bantam variety! Except I have been dying for blue babies, and I don't know if I'd have gotten blues in a variety order.
Good luck to all of us getting our early winter babies! Let's hope they arrive safely.

Sorry I can't answer that, the only thing I know about cochins is I WANT SOME!!!!LOL
DITTO! As far as I'm concerned, they don't have to hurry to lay their cute little teeny eggs. They just have to hurry up and get here! I wanna hold 'em...
I got cochins from Ideal six weeks ago and they are so adorable. They aren't nearly as skittish as the silkies I got in the same order, and they have feathered out so nicely. I have frizzles, and they're just the sweetest little poof balls! From what I've heard cochins usually take something like 28-29 weeks to start laying. All I know is it'll be late spring, and i'll be hatching everything I can get my hands on. lol
