I went to BJ's and they are getting me 2 big boxes tomorrow. They can fold flat in my car too so they should be easy to transport.
I can let you know how it works since I'll be using it before you - 22 days

Oooohhh, those sound like fun, a Marans and a Partridge rock! We're getting a few of the same breeds too! I hope you post pics of when you get them.

Kinda funny, I'm soo excited about the chicks of some eggs that haven't even been laid yet, lol! At least yours are getting put into the incubator now!

Wow!! I didn't even think of that!!!! That IS exciting!!

I will certainly post pics. If I figure out how. I was going to attempt to post pics of the coop/run in progress to see if I can master uploading the pics correctly.
We're cutting it close but hopefully the run will be all finished by the time they need to be moved out there. My DH is making it so nice and most importantly safe. We have fox that come through here every day, hawks and raccoons. We're trying to eliminate the raccoons since they are just a nuisance in general but the fox and hawks we just have to learn to live with and make sure we keep out. The people I chicken sit for about a half mile away as the crow flies had many chickens killed by a fox and a hawk got one right in the run. They don't have a roof on it though and they chickens were free ranging when a fox came through and killed a bunch in one quick shot. She even saw that happen from her kitchen window. Horrible. So ours will be fort knox!!

We're still trying to come up with a name for the coop/run compound. I'm liking Poultry Palace or Nancy's Nesters or Elmer's (Egg something; don't know what yet) Elmer because my husband always tells the kids I'm the glue that holds the family together so they started calling me Elmer (Elmer's glue) as a joke. I think it would be cute but not sure what to put with "Elmer". Any ideas???

Oh man, I'll have to think on that, I'm not very creative, but I like the Nancy's Nesters or something with Elmer... I'll let you know if I come up with anything, have no idea for my own, but my parents called me peeps or peepers when I was growing up, so may use that.. How that got that out of Melanie, I have no idea, but they both have their own version as to how it came about.

I'm really glad that I have until June, before the coop and run will need to be ready, because we are still in planning stage and I don't think we'll have progressed past that for another couple weeks.
