ha ha ha Matlock you have it bad.

Chicksntexas - i am so jealous, that coop is incredible and you have so much space. You should be really proud of it.

And here's my big news; my broody is now a mum - i went in to check this morning and cheep cheep cheep. Yippee!

can't believe i nearly threw that egg out at day 12. She had pooped all over it and i was told it would def kill it, so glad i gave it the benefit of the doubt. will post pics when i get home from work later today.

Nice fluffy chick pic! Love it.
I've got my eight locked down now, and the humidity is rising. This time I'm gonna leave them on their side due to the seller's recommendations, and I put some of the foam rubber shelf liner on the wire floor so those tiny little feet won't fall through!

I also got the notice that my Golden Lakenvelder eggs shipped out today... I was expecting those next week. I'm barely gonna have time to get the cochins out before the GLs have to go in. So I'm kinda nervous about the resetting.

Maybe your cochins will hatch early. Mine are! Yippee. Seriously though you should be ok, you should let the GL's settle for at least 24 hours after shipping and as long as they are fresh when they are sent, 2 weeks will be fine before you set them, so don't worry too much.

Can't believe mine are hatching early. my temp was running just a tiny bit high 34.8 not 34.6 c (sorry don't do f) so i think that might have something to do with it but I have one out, one zipping and another pipped already and they have another whole 24hrs to go before day 21.

I'm not ready for them yet. I have to go to work and leave them

(Hopefully your wife won't kick my backsde for suggesting that... LOL!!)

Are you serious?! I've got mine running as close to 37.5 as possible! You've got me panicking now!

We googled it when we tried our first hatch and it said the perfect hatch temp was 38.6.
