I just set eggs this morning 3-13-12 Has anyone else?

Finally 7 pips. One has been pipped for 24 hours..grrr.. Hoping my pretty little Australorps make it out soon.

I ended up with four chicks from the 8 eggs that I set. 2 light/coronation sussex, 1 lavender orp., and 1 blue orp. Here's a picture of my little ones this morning, all dry and fluffy (and all refusing to sit still or look at the camera!):

Actually, For each hatch that I have had, I have never heard any chirping except for maybe once. And as far as rolling around...nope. Not until they starting zipping. It always seems to start the same way. I have one that pips, then maybe 6 hours later another egg pips. Then a couple more. Mine always start out very slowly.
You should start seeing something soon!! I'm up to 5 pips now

Welcome! Mine is starting to move along... 1st one has hatched...a Lav orp. 5 others have pipped. 8 with nothing yet. But now that the one is hatched and moving around, I think the others will start to pick up the pace.

Well, my final count is 5. I had a very staggered hatch, with my last chick being born yesterday. One of my babies has messed up toes. It's outer pinky toes are curled in. I looked up some info on here last night to see if they would straighten up on there own, and they won't. You have to make "chicken shoes" to fix it. So, with a band-aid and pieces of a paper plate, my chick now has shoes. Good luck to everyone else that's still hatching.
