I killed her... I feel awful

Believe me, I know how bad it makes you feel. Accidents happen. I had a kitten a few years ago that jumped in the dryer when I was transferring clothes. I had no idea she was in there. Yah, it's a tough thing.

Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry that happened to you, and I know how you feel. I've had a similar accident where I dropped a baby quail and injured it, and it died. It had just hatched.

You meant no harm, and it was an accident.

It's hard to not feel bad and that will lessen with time. We can all say it's not your fault but that doesnt reallly lessen the guilty feelings. I'm sorry to hear this happened

It happens.

Several months back I had three polish chicks. DH and I were working in the coop late at night, trying to fix things after a cow invasion. One of the polish chicks got confused and tried to run out the door of the coop. DH slammed the door quickly to keep the chick from getting out, but not quickly enough. He smashed the chick's head in the door. DH felt awful and I can still see that poor chick running around with its skull crushed before it passed.

Try not to beat yourself up too much. Accidents happen.
