I lost all but one my first hatch due to hot spots and temp spikes, but my spikes came after lock down. Don't give up, it will get better. You can do this. Better luck next time.

Maybe set the incubator at the correct temp, add the eggs in the morning and make sure the temp is still correct by night. It is not your fault.
