I'm so very sad.
I posted this before.. that on day 5 of my incubation, I woke to a temp spike.. not sure how long it had been way too high. Waited two days to candle and did not see anything promising on day 7. Candled two more days in a row after that.. never seeing veining or anything that looked the way the pix show. All looked like they were dead - blood rings and such. I decided Friday night to turn off the bator.
I didn't get around to doing an egg-topsy until the morning. Yes, most had died fairly early on, but there were at least five that apparently had been OK until I turned off the bator. Veining was in place and the embryo was right on target for day 9. I'm so sick to my stomach that I killed these babies, I couldn't even finish looking at all the eggs.
