I know I’m probably going to upset some ppl, but I’m genuinely confused..

. But this story kind of reminds me of those women who don’t realize they’re pregnant til the baby pops out. If you’ve ever grown a human you know there is a big piece of the puzzle missing.
I was going to make a joke like that

"You are now watching [I didn't know I was setting!]"
>And then, one of the golf balls started cracking! I couldn't believe it!<

"Up next, it's [Are you my mother?]"

I despise click bait! “Do THIS to keep your chickens cool in the summer”! And she talks about giving them multiple waterers..uh well that’s 10 minutes I’ll never get back..

Same here! I even have cameras in the coop and monitors in the house. I live in the COUNTRY and predators scare me :(
*monotone* What's so terrifying about suddenly hearing frantic squawks
So you run outside
And realize...no, it's not an animal attack this time. You just ended up with the loudest, most dramatic birds.
But you don't know who it is so you don't know what breeds to avoid.

The breed thing NEVER worked out for me anyway. I have a few RSLs and they never go broody. Ha! I’ve had one that’s been broody twice this year, and is the best mama. And brahmas aren’t very loud…huh?? My brahmas are the loudest most vocal hens. And “bantam polishes are the sweetest little birds” oh boy what a lie! Mine are little (adorable) terrors!

(From a past flock) Sometimes one falls off a roost, or a cat walks by, or a light turns on. And they all start clucking and calling like there's a predator.
So you always check, but it's never a predator.
And they do that regularly. Maybe even daily. For years. And it's like "it's great that you're vocal, and all... but could you save this for when you need help?"

"Barred Rocks are generally calm and rather quiet" - HA!

My BR is my current avi, and this is her typical expression:

They’re testing their “Emergency Alarm System”.

Let’s see if we can get Mom to come running because we’re in a regional airport flight pattern and have mistaken a Cessna for a hawk AGAIN.
