Regarding the type of feeder, I personally am a big fan of the "no waste" DIY type of feed are shown here

This is the one I have, it holds a full 50 pound bag of feed and the solid color prevents light penetration which I like as light exposure can speed the degradation of nutrition. The books shown were removed once construction was completed, they were simply holding the pipe in place while the caulk dried
Regarding water, I prefer a closed water system that dispenses on demand using either nipples or cups. This keeps the water clean and fresh. It works similar to a water cooler that you would find in an office. This is the one that I use

Again the solid color side prevents light penetration which in this instance helps to prevent the development of algae or bio film on the interior
