I don’t see curly feathers but it does make lower volume noises than the other ducks. The only thing I see going on is green in the black feathers.

All ducks with black have that pretty green sheen to them

I did catch it finally hanging out with the other ducks though and it didn’t like me anymore. It used to follow me around and cry at my door. It’s growing up so fast.

Too early for a tail curl. That will come after the juvenile molt at around 4 months old...I'm thinking it's a Drake if it has not clearly Quacked yet.

It’s starting! I noticed where it was growing new feathers on it wings! I’m so excited to see how it will look after the duckling feathers are gone!
