I was working in the yard clearing some brush and this little Blue Jay came along and tried to sit on my head. So I got a bit of bird seed and coaxed him into sitting on my hand to eat. After he figured out that I had sunflower seeds he stuck around for about an hour letting us hand feed him.

We have had Blue Jays come close before but this was the first to sit on us. My aunt in Washington has 2 Blue Jays that peck on her kitchen window, when they are eating breakfast, wanting peanuts.

Wow!!! That is wild, because bluejays seem to be quite aggressive and territorial (at least in this area)...one of the least likely birds to appear tame like that... Pretty cool...
