This chick hatched on May 26th. Behavior has had me thinking cockerel since day one. The picture of him standing is a bit blurry. His parents are Welsummer rooster and SLW hen.

Just curious what you think. I will of course post more pictures at a later date.
 
Look at that comb! I vote cockerel. I have some chicks that I can tell are cockerels at about 2 weeks.

Plus the pink tinge even at rest is another clue.

The other from that cross are single comb, like the rooster. So, I really can't make a comparison that way.

I am just wanting to track this one early. The rooster is a Welsummer and if this one were purebred I would fairly certain in gender just based on patterning within 24 hours of hatching.
