I know neither the breed nor the gender of this chicken and I've been terrible at guessing so far.

She looks older than that to me. I would guess cream legbar hen

I suspect that is a cockerel based on the extent of comb development at 4 months, plus the potential appearance of Sickel feathers in the tail. The saddle feathers also look suspect to me- the general saddle area looks like a pullet, but there are some more sickel-like feathers in there. So I'm going with a cockerel.

They're all awkward teenagers at 4 months though, so it can be kind of hard to tell. That's part of the fun.

Yeah at 19+ weeks now that saddle looks very female. That comb, not so much. But yeah this is an odd bird for sure.

The reason I ask is because, like the Cream Legbar, there appears to be some connection possibly to the UK style of tailed, crested Araucana. Also like the legbar, it appears to have yellow legs. Unlike the legbar however...well basically everything else about this bird actually.
