and you're positive from that poor, small picture that those are ribs? looks like folds of skin to me

No I am not, I think your right that the folds of skin just happen to be right in line with the ribs.

It is hard to see the hip points because of the way the angle is in the pic and the black coat there but I think I see it just a little.

He looks... thin, but not starving. I don't know pigs but it looks like he could use some more food

My friend's pot belly pig, Pork-Chop, just gets grits, and scraps ect. and her belly is about to drag the ground

Then again, some animals just look plain starved at that adolesent stage in life

sorry if i came off rude, didn't mean to. noticed that upon re-reading.

it doesn't look like your typical potbelly pg with a pot belly. it looks more like a miniature pig.

it's rump is rounded (at least, from what i can tell in the picture).

there are other things, too, but it's more of an experience thing after looking at thousands of pigs for nearly 40 years

don't know how to describe it.

He is probably Percentage Juliana as to his lighter steamline build he most DEF is not pot belly. He is not overly fat but those are just skin fold wrinkles... He could use a few pounds but hes not skinny as you can see his rump is very full and around. Some pigs just have more wrinkles then others typically in boars who have less backfat then sows due to staying more active!
My current boar Little man has wrinkles currently over his back and sides too but hes most def a little fatty
I've owned pigs my whole life.

Much to peoples amazement there are 4-5 breeds of miniature pigs. There isn't just pot belly and alot of times people cross all the breeds together to make their own crossings. Hence the Percentage part.

What i was told by a vet.. is that pot bellies should be "peanut " shaped. If you stand over a pig and look down, they should be peanut (in the shell) shaped. Wide in the shoulders and hips and thinner in the middle waist area.
Just what a vet told me.
That pig doesnt look too bad to me. He could use a few pounds though...

My pigs used to be more that shape.... now they are getting a bit too round. More acorn shaped..

..)
The LAST thing you want is an overweight pot belly pig.
