I am attaching a picture of my (fingers crossed) 6 beautiful pullets!
I have been bugging my husband for some Chickens for over 2 years now.

Last Saturday I sent him out to get dog food, and he came back with a box of peeps, gallon sized feeder and waterer, a huge bag of feed, heat lamp and some water supplements! (forgot the dog food)

He just dropped it all in my kitchen and took of into the garage to start building a coop!
I was able to set up a brooder and once the kids calmed down, so did the chicks.

All the info I could get from my husband was:
"I walked into the feed store, there were bins with chickens, I asked for good layers that can stand the winter here and said I want six of them! I think it said 'red something pullets' on a sign. You are welcome! When is dinner ready?"

-I am not sure how old my girls are! I am guessing 4-10 days and set the brooder up for them at 85F.
-I have no clue WHAT they are!!! I called the feed store and they told me as far as red pullets go, they carry Red Sex Link, Rhode Island Reds and Red Production.

Any bit of info about my 'girls' would be very much appreciated

Oh! So they are Red Sex Links? That would be nice, because I could be 100% sure that they are all girls!
How can you tell?
Is it the two darker bars on their back?
Oh this is way too exciting for me!
I am scared to have rooster or two in there. I have an elderly neighbor who gets mad when our dog barks ONCE while outside.
Don't want to imagine what he would do when a rooster goes off! lol
I would have to give them to my sons friend (lucky kid gets to grow up on a farm), but I tend to bond with my animals. It would break my heart...

red sex links, red stars, golden comets all the same thing. And these can be sexed at hatch, so no need to worry about getting stuck with a cockerel

The suspense is killing me!!!

The new feathers on their wings all look 'strawberry blonde' now.
Some have their little tail feathers going up, others point down.
All of them are far from being shy and try jump onto my arm when I am cleaning the brooder or fill up water and food.
I wish I could just sit back and see what happens, but I am borderline OCD when it comes to my animals.
(I have a small zoo)
I tend to research every single detail to make sure I can provide the perfect environment and diet etc for them.

Almost drove my family insane when I decided to get a puppy!
