It's in the harvesters best interest to make sure their product is sustainable, so far it sounds like they are striving to make sure that it is. They also mention identifying and setting aside bogs for conservation so they will never be harvested. I would consider peat from members of the CSPMA to be a pretty responsible product, overall.
