I know they’re young but....

Anyone want to take a look at these pics and share an opinion on if they may be cockerels or Pullets? :) We got them on 4/1 and they were less than a week old I believe. The one that looks to be a California white? May be a cockerel? I’m wondering about the brown one too... Chicken lady says they’re sexed but it’s a 10% “failure rate“. I have seven and I’m confident a few at least are almost certainly hens. The black one in hand is a Silkie, the biggest light colored one is an Easter Egger. Another one in hand is a Barred Rock. There’s a Polish one. A California white and a brown one that I don’t know what that is. Also another one that the lady that sold said was an Olive Egger I think. :) Our first chicks!

i may not be right, but i'm gonna give it a guess. the white chick looks like a roo, and so does the big dark one that you aren't sure about the breed. given that he has earmuffs and a beard, i'm assuming he's an easter egger as well! or olive egger as the lady suggested! the barred rock looks like a hen. so does the light colored easter egger - i have one that looks just like her!! the polish looks like a hen? maybe? and the black chick that you said was was a silkie definitely isn't a silkie - i'm not quite sure what it is, lol ! it looks like a hen though. the white roo doesn't look like a california white - he has feathered feet! i had a breed for him that i was going to suggest but it slipped my mind. i'll update you when i remember!

Haha, yeah the “Silkie” doesn’t look like Silkie picks does it? Lol but I’m a major novice. Her wings are very different than the others though, I can’t see her ever getting off the ground and she’s still almost fully fuzzed still. No real feathers excellent at the very tips of her wings. She’s by far the smallest.

Well looking at that pic it does looks like she’s got more feathers now.

she almosts looks like she could be a "he" in that picture lol! i hope i'm wrong!! i'm still trying to think of a breed to match her with. i'll let you know if i remember!
Great..... That’s three likely boys. Maybe the chicken lady is a con artist lol She’ll accept the roosters back for $25 each and give me another pullet or 50 lb sack of feed in return.

Update! I took the brown and white with black speckled chicks back to the chicken ranch and the chicken lady remembered me and agreed they we’re boys and she was happy to trade them out for two lovely pullets about the same age. Verdict is still out on the “Silkie”. I guess she doesn’t advertise free exchanges on her website because people try to scam her by bringing her boys that she never sold to them.
