I know what plants they cant eat.. but what plants can they eat?

I just looked at the page that has all the weeds / plants that chickens cannot eat..( wow there is a lot )... Im not a plant person so Im wondering if there is a page on specific plants they can eat ( like a quick list of favourites or something )... I searched but didnt seem to find anything... can anyone point me in the right direction??..... or What do you have planted around your run that they can nibble at ???

One of the most obvious choices (probably found right in your own garden) is chickweed. I give my six girls a big clump of chickweed three times a day because I have such an abundance of it. I kill two birds with one stone - feed the girls and weed my garden all at the same time. I thought they might like flowers, like roses and calendula (which I also have in abundance), but the girls don't seem interested. I also give clover and dandelion greens from my yard. My basic rule of thumb is, if I can eat it, so can the chickens. Only exception might be avocados and citrus, although I have seen posts from some BYC'ers who do feed citrus to their hens.
