i just did my first hatch Nurture 360 , throughout the humidity was on the high side but within acceptable parameters , chicks came out big , real big and i only had 50% hatch with 3 that died during hatching , all due to size as a result of too high humidity

i tried the vent hole no or very little help , i just went on the assumption that the factory gauge was off , but then i seen the dinosaurs that were hatching , i had 10 Buffs that were a week and a half old and they were the same size as these one dayers

so i give everything a good cleaning and tried to acclimate the incubator for 24 hours ,i can not get humidity below 65 , i thought maybe it would go down when i load the eggs as they would absorb some of it , but no , it actually went over 70 when i refilled reservoir A (B is plugged and empty) , i have the vent wide open and thats how i got it down to 65

im at my witts end here

Never ever trust the built in readers. You should always have at least one (two is even better) separate thermometer and hygrometer. You can easily buy some incubator ones off amazon. Reptile and aquarium ones work great, too. Some people even use meat thermometers. Whatever you buy, just make sure it is properly calibrated.

yea i purchased one this morning off amazon , said same day delivery today at checkout but then a email stating Monday

given the size of the peeps i just hatched though im leaning towards it being somewhat accurate , i just do not know how to lower it unless i drill holes in the lid , i can always tape them up to fine tune the humidity

all others seem to have low humidity issues

That's how my most recent hatch's humidity was set. I had a 100% hatch rate.
i did nt really have a issue with those numbers , but they are on the high size , higher humidity is bad , it aids in growth of the peep , they "over grow" which causes issues during hatching , too big to get enough movement to pup , use up o2 too fast , tire more easily

but this hatch it refuses to get below 65 which is not anywhere near good

never mind , either you guys are not listening or are confused , that was the previous hatch with a 50% hatch rate , as stated they are in fact on the high side but acceptable but produced pterodactyl's hatchings , its the second batch i cant get the humidity below 65 , this morning at 64 , i will figure it out
