I lost a baby ducky to an ant bite, new pics page 4 of ants

One of our coffee group out here paid over 300 for an exterminator to come out and take care of several of the ant holes and they were gone,,,,,,,, until it rained two days later. He called the guy back, the fellow dug down over 3 feet and followed tunnels about 5 feet out in different directions. He said they start dying from the poison and those not affected pack up and move out until it rains and washes the poison away, then they come back. You have to find the queen to kill the hill.

ETA: And after all that explanation, he didn't get from the pro what the name of these ants is, the guys just called them Army Ants.

I took these this evening, they are climbing all over ant bait traps

Do the birds eat them? or would the ants harm/attack them? Bet they'd work better than an exterminator...

If they are anything like my chicken-piglets they wont stop eating till they find every last crumb..
