That's horrible, what ever killed those beautiful birds doesn't deserve to breathe. I have a black cochin rooster and I love him. That's so sad about your cochins.

I empathize with you. I lost over 1/2 of my flock to a mysterious predator (birds are just gone, no bodies, no feathers, no signs at all) I was bereft!

last year i started with 11 chicks, when they were just at laying age my neighbors dogs killed 9 of them. They bit their heads off and left them lay, they did shred one. looked like they played tug of war or something. I was so sad that i left work early when the kids found them. The girls at work made fun of me
