I lost my little buddy...........

I lost my little buddy 1 week old Silkie. We were close in her short period of life. I held,.kissed her,sang to her,kept her warm and safe,cleaned her bottom.it wasn't enough. She was my tiny one . Yesterday she had a good day . I thought she was finally going to make it as she joined the rest of the flock to play and sleep. She ate less than they did. She was on sugar water at beginning then she accepted the water trough by herself. That day I was so proud of her and yesterday she brought many smiles....today she is gone and I am blessed to have known her. Dianer29

Sorry to hear. I lost my favorite bird yesterday too. She was a white Silkie, 3 1/2 months old. She was killed by a dog. I wish I have the positive outlook you do. She was the one I called my little Angel. I've lost my want to even sit and watch the rest of my flock. I guess tomorrow's another day.
