I started raising and showing chickens when I was very young. I did not have eBay to order show chickens(rare landrace nowadays). You had to belong to a network of show chicken enthusiasts in order to get eggs to hatch. Now I am social distancing; started three weeks ago. I also started incubation at the same time. Now they are hatching. Thanks to Egg Well Farm for the Spanish White Face eggs and to Oldsoccerfish for the Rhode Island White Hatching Eggs . The Rhode Island Whites are hatching today.

Welcome to BYC forums :welcome

I too am practicing Stay-At-Home where I live. I have 10 chickens to enjoy. Spring is finally here and I can do lots of things out in the yard. I plan on improving my chicken run this summer. After a long winter, I am actually able to spend a little more time with my backyard flock and to work on improvement projects. Chickens are a great distraction from everything else that we humans are currently worried about. All my chickens want to do is peck and scratch around the chicken run looking for something good to eat.

Please post some pics of your newly hatched chicks when they arrive. Everyone loves pics.
