I am so excited to be part of a community. I have ten chickens two rhode island reds... six tetra tints and a buff orphington and a tufted cochin I think??? Today my tetras started laying and thier eggs are xtra large and a tinted buff color

Congrats on that first egg! That is a big egg for a first time layer! Make sure to get them all on layer feed now and oystershell on the side.

Thanks my son is so excited you would think he won the lottery. I had never heard of tetra tints until we bought these six gals at tsc but thier eggs are enormous :-). We want to name them but they look so much alike we cant tell them apart. The one hen tends to be an escape artists so we call her hendini. Lol
