I love my chickens

It's been a long while since I've really updated my flock status. I started with just 4 measly chicks back in 2022 and now I have 20 chickens that fill my life with joy. I plan on getting more in the future. They are so fun to watch and interact with, it almost feels like they aren't real sometimes. I feel very connected to my birds. They have opened my eyes to the world of animal husbandry.

They kinda look like cows laying down in a line inside a barn in this photo. My GL Wyandotte rooster Robert loves to sit in the big coop with the ladies while they preen and dirt bathe.

Congratulations on discovering how easy it is to become enchanted with creatures that too many people see as "just chickens." You are luckier than those people.

Very nice photos of some lovely birds; thanks for sharing! BTW, I think Robert is a great name for a rooster.
