) is a chicken running on a wheel peeping. i think i talk about them to much

i love my bantams so much that this summer i had to incubate EVERY egg i collected (that wasnt small/weird shaped) to see if it would be a baby chick

I love my chickens more than my sister! Chickens are great. For that matter, BYC is great. Where else could you find this many chicken lovers?

Yep...we are all in the same boat here at BYC. But what a fun boat it is!

and cinnamongirl, just wait until they are old enough to move out to the coop and you are going out every 30 minutes in your PJs with a flashlight to check on them. That was when I questioned my own sanity...3:00am, in the rain, mud in my flipflops...but I just love the little buggers!

I KNOW! I totally understand!

I've always always wanted chickens, ever since I was a little kid. And now just shy of 35 I just got my first batch a few days ago. I am SHOCKED how much I love them already!!! They are just the sweetest little things. I have always loved animals but I think that because they are so small and delicate and yet so perky and full of personality, I just am overwhelmed by them. And they are SOOO entertaining!

NOW I am starting to understand why people said chickens were addictive! I only got three and people here were teasing saying that I would end up with another 4 before next week. Hmmmm..... They DID have some Buff Orpingtons that looked sweet....
