I just picked up three Blue Swedish cross hens last Sunday. They are in my garden shed in a huge dog pen in isolation. I have four other ducks, a pair of Khaki Campbells and a pair of Blue Swedish. So when everyone is integrated I will have 2 drakes to 5 hens, an improvement over the 1/1 ratio I had. The KC duck has laid an egg everyday for about three weeks now. The new ducks hadn't laid since the fall according to the woman who gave them to me. Well, there was an egg in their pen yesterday morning! And today there were two duck eggs in the chicken coop. I'm up to three layers out of five duck hens!
