I LOVE MY NEW COOP!!!!

Oh. My. Gosh!!!

I am just so excited. My new chicken coop arrived today after waiting for what felt like forever. Not a minute too soon because my chicks are ready to move out of my house. They were stinking up the place.

I got a Formex Large Coop. I don't like the ramp I built but my husband said he would make a better one tomorrow.

I also love the "run" which is just a 10x10 dog kennel that I fortified with poultry netting to protect them from my cats until they're fully grown.

Check it out. You can see my cat in one of the photos looking hungry.

I think I'm going to put netting on top too. I don't trust that cat.

You will want to put something on top for sure to protect against cats, raccoons, hawks, eagles, etc. You may also want to bury or skirt some hardware cloth out from the bottom to prevent animals from digging under the fence (neighbor dogs, foxes, rats, etc.). I'm not super familiar with poultry netting- what is it made out of?

It's just plastic stop my cat from being able to get at them.
