I had 3 shipments of eggs that came in this week, all of which were so well packed it bordered on insanity.
The first were turkey eggs from archerobx. I wish I had taken a picture, but each egg was lovingly wrapped multiple layers of "air pillows", taped secure, and packed with more air pillows. No breaks, no microcracks, arrived in perfect condition.
EAC04 sent me 24+extras eggs. Each egg had a significant cocoon of bubble wrap, each layer was seperated by padding and more wrap, all cushioned by wrap and stuffing. No broken eggs.
little_grey_bantam sent me 30 eggs (lots of extras) in the Fort-Knox of boxes. Padding surrounded eggs in cartons, with each egg being first wrapped in newspaper, then bubble/foam wrap. 1 broken egg, in the corner, at the box stress point. No microcracks found on candling.
The shipments from EAC04 and Little_grey_bantam arrived at the same time. Being OCD myself, once I started, I had to unwrap every single egg. The kids were displeased--they wanted dinner.
