I WET TO TRACTORS SUPPLIE AND BOUGHT SOME BABY CHICKS AND THEY SAID THEY WAS CHOCHINS I GOT HOME AND 6 HAD 5 TOES AND AS WE ALL KNOW SILKIES HAVE 5 TOES AND ARE DARK SKINED WELL I GUESS THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT THEY HAD I BOUGHT EVERYONE THEY HAD

You are right some of the employees know nothing about chickens/breeds
sounds like you got yourself some silkies. There are a couple breeds I think that have 5 toes but, silkies have the black skin. What colors did you get? The bad thing about silkies is you really can't tell what sex they are till about 4-5 mos. or when it crows or lays an egg.
