I bought a pan from Big R $3.99, 3 metal L brackets .79 ea., 9 fender washers $3.50 per 30. Cut bottom out with husbands air tool cutter.(love his tools!!) mounted L brackets with small 1/4'' bolts that I had on hand. I left about 1.5''-2'' of space for feed to flow. Oh and this bucket is 6 gallon!! I got my grain for bread baking in it. I had put a gamma seal lid on it, It is now a great feeder!! I put a big eye bolt in the rafter and used an old lead rope for the horse to hang it!! This thing works great!! I spent next to nothing!! I thought that I would share my idea, its so easy to make!! A feeder this size at the store costs a lot of $$!!

Looks good. Holds a lot of feed

It holds 6 gallons not sure of the weight. So now there are two feeders in my coop, one inside and one outside in the run. I keep the auto waterer in the run on a wire platform to keep things dry.
