I read the posts and am interested in what the state vet says.
Sorry for the loss of your babies. You mentioned that they are in the house. I know that some time has passed since this was first posted, but can you remember if you or someone in the house may have been cooking with "Non-Stick" cookware? If non-stick cookware (teflon) gets heated too much, then it gives off a gas that is deadly to birds. Could that be a possibility in your case?
