Crowing
Back in the 1970s, I had 2 ..... A Mexican Red Leg, and a Arkansas Brown. I used to have pics, Polaroids I believe, of them crawling on my face. I have no idea where those pics are, so sorry no photos !
I used to catch grasshoppers in the late summer / early fall and store them alive in jars in the basement fridge. They would go into suspended animation, and upon warming up, many would become active again. This was my wintertime food source for the spiders.
Also, the occasional mouse, or lizard would fall prey to their fangs.
The best though, was a very large Praying Mantis, they wrestled, and fought for probably 15 minutes before the spider finally was victorious ! For awhile, I wasn't sure who was going to win that battle !
