I miss the old BST

I do like it that the old listings are archived. That is a great feature! Maybe if you did somehow allow a crazy 24, it could be self purging after posts are a week old? If it was in its own forum it wouldn't bump anything. We could all just crash around buying and selling eggs like fools in our own little padded cell and anyone who hated it could stumble back out into the light and stagger back to regular BYC, older and wiser... LOL.

I like how the buy/sell is at the moment, but I would very much like to see the Crazy 24 back. It's less formal and the chatter is fun. Plus, it gives me a chance to practice impulse control and should I fail at that, well I guess I have more chickens. What could be wrong with that?

I liked the old system better, also. It seemed that it was more fun.

I have more trouble finding things I want now. Not sure why.

I've only sold a couple things, both times it seemed like one person bid and then no one else ever saw it. If I had started the auction very low, like I used to do on ebay, I would have given both items away for the cost of shipping alone!

So..... any way to add a visitor counter?
And increase exposure in the Everything Else section?

As far as bumping, it seems to happen all the time in the egg area, lots of chit-chat, especially when it's BLRW eggs!

I do realize that it is the "slow season", and things will pick up soon. But I also think that a lot of BUYERS don't like the auction type format of the new BST section. Yes, it's easy to use and manage, but it seems that a lot of auctions aren't getting bid on or even acknowledged. I think the new format is too similar to eBay, and there's a lot of folks who just don't like auction type listings. You can't please everyone, I know, but I think there were a lot more buyers and sellers with the old way. JMO. I'll continue to post in the new BST, but more for exposure than anything...at least folks will know what I have and how to contact me.

Exactly.

I understand the "need" for the new format. But it just isnt as friendly for some reason.
There are fery few coments on auctions and even fewer bids.
I do get private posts a lot more though.
I also will continue to use it, more as advertising I guess, since I dont seem to get any sales directly from the auction.
