Yep. Might take days or weeks....or months until they get to the 'normal' size for that bird.I assume they will get a little bigger in the future?

Like a chalk paint. Add water to the DE, stir and paint the roost and coop area where the chickens roost with a paint-brush.Paint? Like a white wash?
Congratulations!Yay!!! Got my first 2 eggs today. They are about the size of a Cadbury egg. I assume they will get a little bigger in the future? Do I do anything different now or just keep up how I’ve been raising the chicks?
I was thinking of doing a lime wash.Like a chalk paint. Add water to the DE, stir and paint the roost and coop area where the chickens roost with a paint-brush.
I tried to spray it, but that didn’t work bc the nozzle became clogged.
DE’s sharp structure kills the young mites that hatch. Lime wash only dries out and is less effective.I was thinking of doing a lime wash.
Is the DE a better choice?
My chickens love to eat maggots. Now I found a bunch of maggots in the coop when I cleaned it out the other day. Will the chickens eat the maggots or should I try to get them out?
