I am feeling so low. Most of you know I am experiencing terrible luck this year with my eggs and babies.
Backstory for last night, we have company coming so been trying to keep house clean. Also my screen door fell off and I finally got it back on but not properly. It is one that doesn't quite fit but the handyman put it in for us as a "make-do" when he put in the $1100 sliding glass door,we told we don't use a/c when it's nice out and apparently it didn't come with one. (Apparently another one of those folks that use sir 24/7 as he gave us this stunned look and wondered why need a screen.
It was so nice and cool last night, I gathered everyone up in their respective little pet carrier like I always do. usually I bring them in back door/screen and in the house, but instead of carrying them around the house to the front (which is a lot of work as all birds are in back) I left them on the back deck. I never do that if it is chilly but I have done it when it's 85 at night, but since the back door won't open I didn't pull them in before bed.
I guess it got too cool (60 Ish)and my tiny showgirl momma with the 7 couldn't cover them all.
I let them out this morn and only 6 instead of 7. Other one looked like she had just passed.

I still can't fix the screen door and I dont have anyone to help and I am just about to cry.
Thanks for listening.
