I must be Ayam Cemani x CCL?

Hey all! Can you confirm? This baby was supposed to an Ayam Cemani x Ameraucana cross. Most other chicks that came with him have muffs and do appear to be Ayam Cemani x Ameraucana. This guy and one other not so much. He's barred and... whoops, crested! Def not Ameraucana. The other, possible pullet, is all black with a little crest (hard to see in pics while she's losing down, but it's there).

An Ayam Cemani roo over a Crested Cream Legbar hen would explain these two babies? That cross would result in barred fibro males, and black fibro females?

I'm not a genetics expert, but I think you are right. CCL would pass on that type of creast.

Also, the mother/father could be a mutt and can pass on both crested genetics, barred genetics, etc.

I do have some trust in the seller, they have really nice quality purebred birds and have been great otherwise. These guys ended up in a bin with some other chicks due to unforseen circumstances, so I'm guessing it's simply a mixup with the chicks and not the parent's being mixed. Fair point though...
