Gosh around here you could drop to your knees and kiss the cops feet and he would handcuff you until he is done interrogating you with full force.... and then they would still spit at you. I have never met a nice or decent cop in this area..... even when stopped for a traffic violation, they ask if they can search your car. the last time I got pulled over for registration, which I had in my purse, he wanted to search and I told him NO. No probable cause, no search.....

hehehehe said it like it was... I do not miss that jerk. I was his venting when he got home...too many times I got punched because some old lady yelled at him or someone spit on him. And he was being a jerk before they did it. LOL

what i think needs to be REALLY stressed here is...this is a young person!...there HAS to be respect for authority..has to be!....just because you dont like your bosses tone of voice..are you going to talk back talk him..get snotty with him??....good luck keeping a job!..in "real" life......and YES..it DOES all go together..it REALLY does...this is one of the MOST important things i teach my foster kids(i take in high risk kids..some right out of lock-up...)...you DONT have to like the police man...you DONT even have to agree with him...but you had better respect him!...it IS one of lifes basic foundations!...come on people!..get real here...dont tell a kid they can be rude to a cop!....

There is a HUGE difference from respect for authority and total submission. Seriously. If police are respectful from the start, the person the are dealing with, in the case the poster, would treat them the same way. they can be courteous and cautious at the same time. No need to treat someone badly or rudely because of the way they look or are dressed ON THEIR OWN PROPERTY. and I think the "on your own property" is key here.

Like I said, I was stopped for expired registration, by one day, and they wanted to search my car. Um, NO!
