i must not be the only one that....

I love the country life! I hate going to crowded places like the mall (although I do love escalators!). Leave me with critters & I'm the happiest person in the world. The more the merrier. Unfortunately I have 11 more years until I retire, and I only have about 2 acres to put critters on...one day I hope to live in the middle of nowhere with the critters!

lol, I am always commenting on how I won't go to the city. I hate the smell, give me cow poop smell over city sewer any day! not to mention the parking, traffic, police, walkers, bicycle riders, no space, no yard....... I could go on and on.

The biggest town I venture to any more only has about 40,000 people, and I don't even like to go there. If I have to go to the city like St. Louis, it seems to bring out the mean in me. Just trying to drive with those idiots is worth your life, and I was a professional driver for years! No cable, we don't have it here yet, and by the time it gets here it will be obsolete! NO cell phone either!! Am I the only one on the planet without a phone stuck to my head?? Even some of the Amish have cells!

I kid you not! Saw a buggy going down the road the other day, and the woman was on a cell...

I think it is the epitomy of rudeness when you are out with someone, say for a nice dinner, and their phone rings, AND THEY TALK! Last time my DD was home, that happened like 3 times. Third time I snatched it out of her hand, hung up on whoever, and threatened to go throw it out into traffic! Bet she won't do that again..with me anyway!

Went to NYC a few months ago. Was SO ready to come home! I hardely saw 1 patch of grass while I was there!

I live about 12 miles from a town of 6000. I go once a week to shop, & that's it. If I can't find something I need, I'll go to the next town, about 35 miles away. A town of 35,000. If I can't find what I'm looking for there, I get on the computer & order it. I refuse to go to the BIG CITY!

We just moved here a few weeks ago and people keep telling me how this other city has this huge mall thing and this outlet and that outlet and this huge store and on and on. Nightmares. I hope to never have to go to ANY of those places.

My husband and I purposely chose our place because it is in the middle of nowhere. After 26 years of moving with the military, country life is what we chose.
