I need a bread recipe- the aftermath with pics!

It should take about an hour. Make sure it's sitting somewhere warm and don't disturb it! Good luck!

I hate waiting!

Making bread has a little bit of science to it. I noticed in the recipe that it calls for hot water to mix the flour and yeast into but doesn't give a specific temperature. If this water is too hot it will kill the yeast and there won't be any rise.

Since you have already bloomed your yeast if it's still alive you should see some activity fairly quickly... especially if you used white flour.

If you don't see any activity within the next 30 minutes let me know and I can give you instructions on how to remix it to add more yeast.

110 degrees for hot water. wont kill the yeast. just right.

How's it going? Is the oven pre-heating? (I'm getting hungry just thinking about fresh bread!)

Ok the bread is almost at the top of the pans. Do I let it rise above the top of the pan before putting it in the oven?

The oven is pre-heated already, by the way.

What size pans are they...if they are standard size loaf pans then I would say yes. The ingredients listed in the recipe should have filled your standard size loaf pans slightly more than half way and you want you dough to double in size.

So visualize what the loaves looked like before they started to rise and imagine what double would be and that's how big you want to let your loaves get before you put them in the oven.
