I can imagine how much it hurts. My Scooter still hasn't returned and she's been gone since Jan.21st...in all reality it looks like she'll never come home again :-( I'm so thankful for my six scovie babies who are helping my heart heal ...they give me such joy!! They've made friends with my Pekin Hen and my Jumbo Pekin Hen but the Mallards still want nothing to do with them ..my magpie/runner cross just isn't sure yet, one minute she plays with them the next she pushes them away.

I hope your Parents give you the ok on getting him some ladies. I loved seeing the photos of him on fb, he's sooooooooooooooo purty!

i have seen your babies.. they are soo adorable. hubby gave into scovies? they are really one of the best breeds, i think anyway. my mallards are really skittish and i've heard a lot are and it's hard to tame them. how are yours? my mallards loooove my scovies. i wonder how the pekin/s will do? lol

he's such a nut. did you see the one with him sticking his tongue out?! such a silly boy! he literally comes up next to me, waits for me to take the picture and starts moving again after the flash makes noise lol. then i hold the phone up and he poses again. he's such a ham. we took a ton of pictures, i didn't post all the pictures.

The one with him sticking his tongue out is my favorite!!! I need to go out and take some new photos of my babies.

Hubby didn't exactly give in, more like he gave up LOL I think he got tired of seeing me cry about Scooter and when these six were offered to me he didn't say a word. He does have a favorite out of them which surprised me..Willow, he likes her coloring most and likes that she's such a dare devil.
My Mallards are skittish too, they'll come to feet and eat treats, they'll follow me and come in to the pen when I call them but forget about touching them or picking them up..they go spastic on me. I was surprised that my Pekins took the scovies so well...my 2 yr old pekin is broody and on a nest full of eggs and she even lets the scovies come inside with her. My Jumbo Pekin hen is 4 yrs old and she's a bit pouty because the only ducks that aren't broody are the mallards, she spends all day running to wherever they fly to and she misses Scrappy and Maggie to walk/run with her. I'm thinking she's liking the scovies because they can't fly yet and she can keep up with them LOL

Muscovies are absolutely my favorite breed, I think they have the best personalities of all.

haha i started a new thread with some pictures.. they all kinda look similar, but yeah duckie is always posing in them. i think it's so funny. he's so silly!!

aweee my mallards will come get grass from me.. that's about it.. they LOVE grass.. i wish they had some in their pen, but if i tried to plant some it would be destroyed lol. aweee all your duckies sound like they have their own adorable personalities.. lol

muscovies definitely have great personalities i think. lol
