Well i am sorry about your chickens. I hope you have a plan to protect the chickens on the future from dogs and the multi variety of critters that kill chickens that are out there.
I just did a search on mcclaren texas craigs list and got a whole lot of results. Purebreeds, mix breeds, a variety of bird ages. Go look!

Have you improved the run or figured out a way to contain the dog so it can't get to the chickens again? I would not add more birds without addressing the issue, or else this cycle will just repeat again.

they were free ranging chickens but we are building a coop thanks!!!

Best of luck! Free ranging always carries some risk so I hope you build a nice secure run, even if it's just for the times the dog goes out.
