i need a little help

My lovely lady decided to go over my fence into neighbors yard where she was attacked by a dog I got to her be for it killed her now I have her separated from the rest I've put a jacket on her to hide the wounds she is eating and layed an egg early this morn, my Q is can I put her back with the flock or do I need to keep her separate from the others. I've never had to doc a hen she's missing a lot of leg and back and butt feathers and now has a mess of stuff clumped by her but what should I be doing?

does she have open wounds? What is the clump of stuff by her butt caused by?

Continue to keep her isolated until the wound is almost entirely healed. Birds will pick at scabs and bald spots.
There are loads of threads on doctoring injured birds. I always give mine cooked egg and eletrolytes to give them a boost. Good luck.

She had one bad puncture on her back and a couple shallow under her wings, the stuff is either poop or laying an egg some is yellow and a little green. Her feathers a willy nilly cause the dog was pulling them all out her wings are ok but she's not strong enough to get to the roost boxes yet so I put her in a tote with chicken wire on top. I've given her boiled egg(she loved it) she has eaten almost all of it, but I haven't seen her drink water yet its reg water. What kind of stuff should I get for her water I'm going to the store soon. Also I put antibiotic cream on the one deep puncture although it had already stop bleeding, if I have her "jacket" on could she run free w/o them picking at her?

You need to clean all of the wounds. Any goopy gross stuff has to be removed or flies will lay eggs on the stuff and you will have more problems. Putting a jacket on her and returning her to the flock could cause irritation to the wounds. She definitely needs to be where flies and dirt cannot get to the wounds.

Okie dokie she's coming inside I used some of my uncles saline solution to rinse it off. Ill bring her in and monitor her thank yall soooo much I was thinking she was done for.

Is there a reason she has to go back with the flock? If not, keep her isolated. I would treat the wounds, clean out pus or other goop, moniter her for signs of infections, and give her electrolytes in her water. Leaving her with the jacket will just let the wounds get infected and they will get worse, not better. Keep us posted!

Thank you ill do that, what do u mean electrolytes? Pedialite for kids or Gatorade?

Gatorade has a lot of sugar. If you have a choice, go for Pediliate. Mix it with her water and if she won't drink put a little on her beak. Please keep us posted!

If she stops eating and drinking, you may need to tube feed her.
