I need a manly chicken for my DH

HELP!!!!

I need to find a manly bantam for my Dh. I love my silkis and showgirls. But hes not so impressed. They need to handle confinment okay as they will get eaten other wise. He likes dutch but their wattles would get frost bite im afraid. So any ideas? He says they have to look like chickens, so no funky fun breeds im afraid.

My DH loved my Bantam Wyandotte Rooster. He looked like the kellogs rooster, all the different colours.

How about a Golden Sebright roo?

I love mine. They have plenty of spunk/attitude. If you are looking for some, I have two 10 week old Golden Sebright roos available as of now.

I love my Araucanas. Great personality. I sold my 2 roos to start breeding Blue Black and Splash. My new boy gets here this week and I can not wait! Other than the Araucanas I love the Japanese Bantams and Cochin Bantams.

do you need standards or bantams? For standards I would go with Orps. For bantams I would go with mille fleur d'uccles. I feel the same way- no fufu breeds. However, I do own some silkies but it's not my fault.

My d'uccles are really cool and my Orps are some of my favorites. If you want any pics of them to show him let me know and I'll post them.

A Black Jersey Giant Rooster is pretty manly in the barnyard. They are surely a presence in the yard because they are so huge. Also a Dark Cornish rooster is another presence in the barnyard that will make you do a double take ! My DH swears by these two!

Oops, just realized you wanted bantams. Our manly roos in bantams are the Cochin or the Japanese Bantam roo. One of our Jap bantam roos will run off our standard roosters if they get to close to his hens! They think they are as big or bigger than the big boys!
